Downloading and Un-Zipping Software
Unless you have purchased software for your PDA on a CD-ROM or floppy disk, the first step in adding applications to a PDA is to download the file to your local computer. You begin this process by clicking on the download link or button provided on the website or in the confirmation email delivered at the conclusion of your purchase.
Once the download begins, a file named PDA-Applications-XXXXXXXXXXXX.zip will be saved to your computer (where XXXXXXXXXXXX is your 12 digit Order Key). This file contains the entire contents of your selected software. If your order was for more than one software title, there will not be multiple downloads, all titles are contained within this single file.
If you are experiencing difficulty downloading your software, please contact customer support. To assist in trouble-shooting please include as much of the following information as possible in your message:
- 12 digit Order Key
- Type of computer (PC or Macintosh)
- Internet Browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL, etc.)
- Any error messages displayed
For security reasons your download link will expire within 7 days after your first download attempt and you will be limited to 3 downloads of your software - only successfully completed downloads will count against your total.
The software in your order has been bundled together into a 'zip' file in order to provide you with a single download for your complete order. To open this file you will need to use an extraction utility called WinZip, if you do not have this utility it can be downloaded from www.winzip.com (Macintosh users should use Stuffit).Your zip file download is made up of one or more additional 'zip' files. Each 'zip' file inside your download corresponds to one of the software titles in your order, and will have a filename of the form [ProgramName].zip. To install the software, open each of the zip files and follow any directions or run any installers included with the application.
